In the Republic of Cape Verde, many children live in extreme poverty, are vulnerable and threatened by a number of factors that prevent them from experiencing a happy childhood. I myself grew up in Cape Verde and the worst thing for me was seeing young children, full of ideas and ideals, who do not have the opportunity to follow their dreams.
